Grand Egyptian Museum VR Experience
Challenge
Developing a museum VR experience that presents a large, detailed architectural space while preserving scale, lighting, user movement, and the presence of cultural artifacts in a clear and engaging virtual visit.
Objective
To create a VR experience that allows users to explore the Grand Egyptian Museum environment from the inside and approach key exhibits and spaces through a format suitable for cultural, educational, and promotional presentations.
PG Studios Solution
Grand Egyptian Museum VR Experience was created as an immersive museum experience that places users inside a large atrium featuring a prominent ancient statue, a bright glass ceiling, visitor pathways, and modern architectural elements surrounding the exhibits. The experience uses a VR user perspective with visible controllers, making the virtual visit suitable for expansion into information hotspots, educational content, or guided tours inside the museum.
Production Approach
- Visual identity and key architectural-space analysis.
- Large museum atrium design for VR exploration.
- Cultural and architectural asset setup with clear visual scale.
- Interior lighting and glass-ceiling atmosphere development.
- Movement routes and viewing-point planning.
- Controller presence development inside the experience.
- Performance optimization for large, detailed spaces.
- Preparation for cultural and promotional presentation use.
Results & Impact
- The project resulted in an immersive museum VR experience that presents the Grand Egyptian Museum and its interior spaces in a compelling way. The experience can expand into exhibit explanations, guided tours, multilingual content, and educational visitor scenarios.
